Scrapbook Saturday - Choo Choo!

Welcome to my newest Scrapbook Saturday post. Just sharing with you some pages to a vacation we had well...too long ago. This year has been tough and unfortunately, I have not been scrapbooking...at all...In fact, I wanted to share the last few weeks scrapbook pages with you in January of this year and never got around to it. Card making has been my outlet because it doesn't take as long and is instant gratitfication. So...I am so very glad to be able to get this page up andposted for you.

I used lots of die cuts for this page using my various Cricut cartridges.
I embossed the X on the railroad sign for texture amnd made use of some small designer paper scraps.

I hope you are inspired to scrapbook your family memories too and find time to make something beautiful today!

Thank you to my followers for always checking out my latest creation and Thank you if your visiting. Please consider following me. If you become a follower I'll send you a shout out on this weeks Feature Friday post and link your blog so others can visit you too. Bubble Birthday Duo

Hey All! It's Friday!!!!!!! I'm so excited to show you my latest cards. I love geometric shapes. I'm a clean and simple girl at heart with classic taste in clothes and design so when I saw this stamp set by Simon Says Stamp I couldn't resist. Also, I'm using a challenge over at Stamp Nation as inspiration. It's every size circle stamp you can imagine! So this is what I came up with

This card was pretty easy once I decided where I wanted each sized circle stamp. Boy, I could have really used a MISTI for this card in multiples. I made 22 of them, stamping each circle. It's on it's way though!!!!!!! *excited*

I hope you enjoyed viewing my cards and find the inspiration to make a repeating pattern card of your own.

Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots stamp set

UMT-Frosted Pumpkins

Hello and Happy Thursday. Today's post is titled Using My Tools Thursday. I am also inspired by a challenge over at Stamp Nation to use frosting on your card (some sort of saparkle). For this card I chose to grab something out of my stash that's been neglected and put it to good use. For this card I chose a few items that have been neglected in my stash and combined them with  a few new items. I love when it works out like that! The older stash items are the Martha Stewart border punch, the raffia and the DSP. The newer items are the sentiment, sequins and card stock. I hope you enjoy my post.

For this card, I used Staz On ink to stamp the image on acetate and then turned the image over and used glossy accents and glitter to fill in the "Frosting". I then used a circle die to cut out the circle from each layer. This card was a bit of a process. I first cut the partial circle from the Faded Brick card stock, then I used that as a guide to make the other cuts for the card base and the patterned paper. I heat embossed the sentiment. If you haven't tried using glitter on acetate you can find the tutorial that inspired me under my tutorial tab, scroll down until you see " Glitter on Acetate". All my tutorials are listed in alphabetical order.

Feel free to leave a comment or question about this card. I hope to hear your feedback!

UMT-Word Bubbles

Welcome to this week's Using My Tools Post. Item used: Cricut Cartridges. I've been in a kids card making mood lately. So, I thought I would make use of some other Cricut Cartridges that have been neglected since I recently became interested in stamping. I pulled out my gypsy and popped in some word bubbles into this design.  it is clean and simple and I'm quite happy with it.
The stamp sentiments came from various sets (listed for oyu below)

I thought I would keep the inside light and add some jungle animals to represent the google eyes on front. I didn't want this to be a ghosty card because I'm sending it to my newphew who is 2.

Supplies:
Cricut Cartridges: Create a Critter & Plantin Schoolbook
MME Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad
Recollections Zoolicious stamp set
Gina K Designs  dark chocolate, sweet corn & prickley pear dye ink
Gina K Designs Dark Choclate and White cardstock

I hope you enjoyed my post today and find time for yourself to make something beautiful!

Card Making Monday- Just Because Card Set

Good Monday Morning! Hello and welcome! Todays post is showcasing a set of cards using up a remainder of a paper pad. I've had the papers from this pad for over 4 years and I thought I'm just going to dig down, pull up my mojo and finish it off.

The paper is from K & Co and it was a 6.5 x 4.5 paper pad. I don't have the name and I'm sure the paper has since been discontinued. I kept the above design simple. Popping up the focal block with fun foam, adding the sentiment and a few sequins
For the cards above I cut some flowers using a cut file from SVGCuts.com, added some stones to the center and again a few sequins for embellishments.

Here is a close up of both cards.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and find time for yourself to make something beautiful!

UMT- Masculine Headline Birthday

Welcome to my latest Using My Tools Thursday post!
Today I have chose to pull various image stamps and sentiment stamps from my stash and put them all on one card! Hopefully in an artful way and not card sneeze!

I hope you are inspired to drag out stamps from various stamps sets and put them together in a complimentary design like I did. It's been tough trying to design masculine cards for me. It's not my niche. I definitely find it easier to make feminine cards but I have enjoyed the challenge and will continue to work to build my masculine design skills.

Now it's your turn to go make something beautiful!

CMM- Corner Fold & Bleaching Tecnique Card

The second technique is one I've been wanting to dive into again and that is the bleaching technique. I have several samples on my technique tab for inspiration so make sure to check those out too!

I chose to make them slightly different. Each one utilizing scraps from my stash

WW-Hearts Galore Shaker card

Hello and welcome to my mid-week post. I'm sharing a shaker card with you today. I've shared some window technique cards with you in the last month or so and I thought I would take that same technique and make it a shaker card.
I used my Gypsy to set the hearts in place and then die cut them. I embossed the paper after the shapes were cut. Added a few patterned papers, sequins & beads to make it interesting. If you are not sure how to make a shaker card there is a tutorial how to under my tutorial tab. For this shaker card I used fun foam to pop uo the top layer and keep the shaker items in place.. I just traces the hearts through the window onto my fun foam and cut them out by hand.

Supplies:
Darice Interlocking Circle Embossing folder
Martha Stewart iridesent hearts and star glitter
Seed beads
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge (for both tag and hearts)
Hobby Lobby Gingham ribbon
Martha Stewart  Heart Chain punch around the page punch
Pink Paislee Pen Pal 12 x 12 paper pad
Bazzill card stock
Gina K Designs Luxury white cardstock for card base

I hope you enjoyed my card sample! Have a wonderful wednesday and I hope you find time to make something beautiful!

CMM-His and Her Horses

Welcome to Card Making Monday! Welcome to my little space on the blog sphere. I am so excited to show you y latest cards! I chose to make masculine and feminine versions of this layout. The feminine version was sent to my cousin and the masculine card was put in my stash. I first made the feminine version of this card and fell in love so naturally I wanted to make a masculine counterpart. I hope you love them as much as I do!
The horse stamp is from a set by Inkadinkadoo. I bought this set at Michaels Arts & Crafts store.
This card was chosen as Top 3 at Fan-Tastic Tuesday

I used patterned paper scraps from my stash and the brown card stock is by Gina K Designs which I absolutely love!

Here's a close up of the wonderful jeweled bucket I used for the feminine card.

I hope you enjoyed viewing my cards and try making feminine and masculine versions of a card design for yourself. As always have a wonderful week and try to find time to make something beautiful!

Here are some other examples of Masculine and feminine duos from my Blog
