"Card Candy" Neutral Embellishments

Welcome to All Things Beautiful!
So glad you are visiting today!
Today I am going to share with you some Card Candy i made from some left over Scrapbooking scraps in my stash.

Once I made these little DIY embellishments I packaged them on some cardstock and placed them inside a large plastic envelope. I can now gift them and/or keep them clean and safe until i use them on projects.

For this little guy I used my Cricut to cut the word bubble base and then used some punches, stamps and patterned paper strips to decorate.

For this embellishment I used a paperclip and shaped it into the shape of a clothes hanger. I used a Stampu Up punch for the sentiment, added some Cricut cut flower embellishments and some gems.

All these embellishments are kept to a 2 - 3 inch size. nothing is really too big because I plan on adding these to cards or scrapbook layouts.

It's been fun using my Cricut to find cut outs that will work with the card candy. I've fallen out of the habit of using my Cricut and making Card candy has encouraged me to bring out my cartridges again. Woot! Woot!

I just love this little scalloped embellishment. I used a sticker I had left from a pack, a little scalloped punch, a circle punch, a word window punch and a banner punch. The embellishment isn't bigger than about 1 1/2 inches but packs a punch in style.

I hope you like my post today and are inspired to use some of your scraps to make this handy little DIY embellishments for yourself.

Have a wonderful day!

DIY "Card Candy" Embellishments

Hello and welcome to All Things Beautiful!
Today's post will feature some DIY embellishments otherwise known as "Card Candy" in the crafting world, however you could certainly use them on scrapbook layouts, 3D paper projects and Pocket letters.
I have used several of my DIY embellishments on Pocket letters and to give as gifts to my crafty friends.

For these Card Candy embellishments I used lots of patterned paper scraps and my punches...added a few stamped images to pull everything together.

For the embellishments below I coordinated my card candy with a pocket letter insert I made

and...for this One I made a coordinating tag and embellishment.

I hope this gives you some ideas on how to use your leftover scraps and stickers to create some new embellishments to use on your paper projects. You can find a tutorial on how to make your own Card Candy on my Tutorial tab or by clicking here.

There are lots of Tutorials on Youtube for making your own Card Candy. I h ope you try this technique. Now go make something beautiful!

3D Piano Keys Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today's post features a musical themed birthday card.
The size of the card is 3.5 x 6.25 inches which fits a #63/4 small letter size envelope.

I found some similar ideas on Pinterest and figured I would adapt this card for the size I was wanting to make. The musical notes were the negative space from the border punch.

The keys are 3D. I cut the number 2 and letter U from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge

Pocket Letter filled with Hope

Hi There Friends! I hope you are having a great week and welcome to All Things Beautiful! I hope all is going well. So today's a Hope themed Pocket Letter. I have been making Pocket letters for several months and I have met some really nice and highly creative people. This Pocket letter was made for a friend of mine. We Pen Pall and I like to exchange Christian Themed Pocket Letters so I chose to send her one filled with Hope.

I added a tea bag behind the hope quote flap in the lower left pocket.

My Pen pall told me she likes brackets, arrows, crowns and lots of bling so I couldn't resist cutting her some of her favorite cut files out of glitter and adding them to this pocket flap card.

Here is a close up of the bottom row of pockets.

and...here is a back view of the Pocket Letter filled with crafty goodies. I made some coordinating Card Candy just for her.

I hope you like my Pocket Letter and try making one for yourself and finding a swap partner on the various Pocket Letter Facebook groups and web pages.

Have a wonderful day!

Floral Pocket Letter

Hello and Happy Thursday! So glad you are joining me to check out my latest Pocket Letter. I have thoroughly enjoyed making these and swapping! I've had so much fun getting to know everyone and sharing  in everyone's crafty abilities.

Today's PL is a floral theme. When I think floral, I think yellow so I chose to make this one yellow and white. I used lots of foiled images I had on hand. It was actually a good thing. I have had a Minc foil machine for a while but don't use it as nearly as often as I should. So this project prompted me to use it.

Hope you enjoy my post!

Here I made a falp book and used a border punch for the decorative element.

This is the inside.

I added the recipients name onn a tag, a flower jewel and some ribbon tape and ribbon for the top.

I hope you enjoyed viewing my Pocket Letter. Have a great Thursday and I hope you find time to make something beautiful!

Purple Pocket Letters

Hello and welcome to All Things Beautiful! A place to share my crafty side!
Today's post is all about Pocket Letters. If you've never heard about Pocket Letters (PL), you can find more here.

Today's Pocket Letters are:  Pretty in Purple!
I had two swap partner that love purple so I created these two PL at the same time.

Some elements are the same but many are different.

I made these PL interactive, meaning I tried to incorporate as many moving pocket letter cards as I could by making and using mini greeting cards, notebooks, shaker pockets,
flap books, envelope pockets and more....

I also used my Card Candy as an embellishment on one of the Pocket Cards.

This is a flap book. I used lots of flowers and encouraging statements.

Then finally, I decorated the tops using tags with the recipients first initial, a pretty matching gem, some ribbon and a scripture tag as always.

added a Thank you card for swapping and they were done!

If you are interested in making and swapping a pocket letter you don't have to go to the lengths I di or if you want you can make it more elaborate! It is all up to you.
I hope you like my post today and find time to be creative yourself. Now it's your turn to go make something beautiful!
