cropped - In the Eyes of a Boy

I really enjoyed making this layout. I remember when my son was soo sweet, not he's 12. Still awesome but not so sweet baby boy anymore. lol  I began scrapbooking 2 years ago in Nov. of this year so I have ALOT to catch up on.

I cut out the dog in red paper to give it the look for Clifford the Dog. I will also be making a Blue Clues dog using blue card stock and some light blue circles on another layout. I hand cut the wave that I used a pencil line drawn on the pother side of the patterned paper. I used embroidery thread for the center of the buttons to add some interest,

OWH-Stampers best giveaway challenge

Make a holiday themed or love you card for this challenge. I am submitting this card where i used masking and various inks. My clean and simple card with just a little bit of embellishment (as Sandy would say! lol)

Cropped Challenge #4

This is my entry for the mystery Cropped challenge #4. IThe challenge was to use 7 circles and the color teal. I cut 7 circles in graduating sizes, distressed the edges with the Tim Holtz distressor, inked the white circles and used a teal brad to secure them. I stamped a circle strip, layered a dotted ribbon and tied it with some teal and white jute cord. I used the Hello sentiment from the Megan Elizabeth alpha stamp set.
Good Luck to me!

Cropped Challenge #2

For this challenge I needed to create a layout using the Paper Layers included in the kit.  I used 1 sheet as my 12 x 12 background and the second sheet for my cutouts as embellishments. In addition, I used some ribbon and gems/stickers included in the kit. I wanted each block to be unique but have a coherent theme by using photos in black and white with just a few color photos to add pops of color.

This is my mother's 70th surprise birthday party. It was difficult choosing just 12 photos from the party but for the most part, I wanted to display the important people in her life and include just a few pictures such as the top portion of the cake I made for her, a backyard decoration and the finally what was left- the eaten watermelon. I plan to frame this and give it to her as a gift.

Lawn Fawn: Midweek Throwdown Challenge

Our Daily Bread Designs September Challenge

OWH Midweek Throw down-Masculine card

I've been working on Thanksgiving cards this week and thought this design was rather masculine in nature. I used some ribbon scraps from my stash, a stamps image I bought at joanns in the dollar bin, some brown ink to edges, and the Tim Holtz distressor for the edges of the sentiment and the card. I really like how the 2 patterned papers complemented each other so well. They're not from the same company and i so wish i had more of the  pumpkin paper. Only have 1,  boo hoo! :-)
I hope you enjoy!
