UMT- Masculine-God Bless

Welcome to another edition of Using My Tools Thursday!
Today's card showcases a tool I've sadly let sit and collect dust for over 6 or more months. My little  Janome sewing machine. GASP! I know I love this little sewing machine! It's so great for scrapbooking pages and cards but alas, life has been busy and I have not been crafting as often as I would like to, so quick and simple card designs have been in order. BUT! today I dusted off my sewing machine, put a new spool of thread on and stitched away. Here is the result!
I used the window technique that I showcased last time and added a zigzag stitch to finish off my design.
I like this masculine card because I've pulled together a masculine paper pattern and color palette, various textures and a few techniques yet it still appears very clean and simple

Well I hope you like my masculine card design and are inspired to incorporates some stitching on your cards.
Have a wonderful weekend and now it's your turn to make something beautiful!

I love the movement feel of this card. The bling and layers really add a special touch! Make sure to visit Smarney's blog to see more.

I love this Summer themed note card holder. What a fabulous way to use your die cuts or cutting machine for making different craft projects. Great Job! Make sure to go over and give D a visit.

This picture is so sweet! I love how Pauline used her stamps to think outside the box and make this picture frame. Make sure to go on over and give her some love for this great project.

CMM-Splatter Fun

Happy Monday everyone! So glad you are visiting and I am so excited to show you these cards!
I've joined some online card classes and have been slowly working through. For this card I used a tutorial from Clean and Simple Card Making 3. I'm not sure what you call this technique but I love it!

It's a chance to use up some sentiments that I wouldn't typically use and in a creative way. For today's Card I used the same design but created 2 different cards.
The first card is for my daughter and most of the sentiments came from a MFT stamp set that I bought with her in mind. The second card is a chance to add to my masculine card stash with a thinking of you sentiment.

The background stamps are from my Favorite Things.

I hope you are inspired to try this technique too! This card uses a lot of stamps but is very quick to create.

Have a great Day and make sure you leave some time to create something beautiful!

UMT-Masculine -Trust Him

Good Morning and welcome to my next Using My Tools Thursday post! Where I pull something from my crafting stash that has been neglected, dust it off and make something beautiful! or in this card hopefully handsome since I'm aiming at building up my masculine stash. I think this card is probably more gender neutral though. So what's my Using My Tools, tool? It's actually this technique. it's been ages since I've made a window card and this is the first time I used the window off centered on a card.

I used the window technique. You can find a tutorial on how to make a raised window on my tutorial page here. I have lots of samples and I add more as I make cards. Scroll down the page to find the tutorial for window cards.

For this card I used Gina K Design card stock and inks. I also used a geometric pattern stamp from Gina K and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Well, I hope you like my clean and simple masculine encouragement card and find time to make some masculine cards for yourself this weekend. Have a great day and go make something beautiful!

Red, White & blue Splatter card

Hello All! I have been working on my card stash and noticed I was short on Get Well themed cards. In honor of the 4th I thought I would make a Get Well card using the Red , White and Blue theme. It's pretty simple and I'm not entirely sure I am happy with it but it got my mojo going to work on some other projects I'll be posting soon!

I hope you enjoy my post and tune in tomorrow to see my top 10 Patriotic Projects posts.

CMM-Patriotic Get Well

Welcome to Card Making Monday! Today's card has a patriotic theme but not a 4th of July sentiment. I'm trying to think out of the box when it comes to the red, white and blue. In the past I've made some red white and blue cards for various themes and you can find links to some of those posts at the bottom of this post. But for today's card I made a Get Well card for my step son who absolutely loves everything government and/or presidential.

I masked off some stars and then stamped with the paint splatter stamp from MTF. I used stamps from the same set for the stripes. I saw this type of card on an Operation Write Home YouTube video where they were showcasing some different cards that card makers had donated to the organization. I them modified it to fill the right side with lots of get well wishes.

I hope you like my variations of a patriotic them card and think outside of the box for yourself and come up with some creative and beautiful red, white and blue cards!
