SOA beautiful world collection 2

Here is my second card for this collection. Catherine is offering a chance to win the newest SOA collection so I am posting these cards to her site.
For this card I heat embossed a stamped image from the gina K designs stamp set in the collection and then resist inked the background. The card is much more impressive in person. The camera had a hard time focusing on the white vellum

SOA Beautiful World Card 1

Hello,
I haven't made too many cards lately but I did make a few using the newest SOA kit by Catherine pooler. I hope you enjoy

For this one I used some scrap I had left over from a 6x6 paper stack. I then grabbed a few odf the stamps from the collection to use for the sentiment.

Black and White Friend Card

Hi There! I'm CASE'ing another card over at Stamp Nation. For this card I decided to keep the colors simple and add a pop of color for the center of the sentiment panel.

I stenciled the background, used lots of sentiments to create the panel and added a "girly" touch with the ribbon and bow.

Here's the card I cased made by: Jwayman77 over at Stamp Nation

If' you haven't tried CASEing cards give it a try. It's so fun to see what you can do by be inspired by someone else's design.

Watercolor Praise!

Hello and welcome to all things beautiful! I am so glad you've stopped by for a visit. I hope you are inspired and learn a trick or two. For today's card I pulled out my watercolors. I am a member over at Stamp nation and they are having a game of card tag. You tag yourself and CASE the card before you. I chose to CASE Catherine Pooler's card. You can see it below. But here is my card.

Here is Catherine's card that I used for inspiration...

For my card I chose to watercolor my background and mask off a spot for my sentiment. I then used my MISTI to stamp the sentiments (couldn't live without it!), added some faux stitching, a SU butterfly embellishment that was given to me by a friend and some sequins. I then mounted the card on Black Onyx luxury cardstock by Gina K Designs
.

Card Making Monday - Double Pocket Masculine card

Welcome to Card Making MOnday. Today's card is called a Double Fold card. If you haven't made one yet then try out the tutorial I used under my Tutorial tab abd give it a try.  It took me a few tries to get the folds but once I got it, I got it! For today's card I wanted to make a masculine version. I used sentiments from stamp sets design for guys (see product list below) I chose stripes and colors that lguys tend to like with no flowers or bing. Just kept it simple.
Hope you like my card.

I also decided to make a matching envelope

Hey it's Friday!

Hello My Friends! I hope your 2016 is going well. Today I want to share with you one of my first cards for 2106 and my very first stenciled card. I am a member over at Catherine Pooler's Stamp Nation and she is offering her new stenciling class to us members for free. So, I couldn't resist grabbing some stencils and getting started. Thankfully my crafty sister already had some so I borrowed hers.
I hope you like my card.

I used a 3 inch masking circle from the center of my masking paper so my stenciling would pop on the white background, then added additional stamp layering with the sentiment and geo graphic.
If you haven't tried stenciling on your cards yet. Give it a try; it's much easier than I thought and so many possibilities!

CMM- Oh Heck! I Forgot Your Birthday! Starburst Card

Hello! It's Monday! Who's got the Monday blues? Not me!
Today's card uses the Starburst technique.
I thought I'd make a few sweet colored starburst cards and although I try to make sure I mail out birthday cards on time I sometimes miss the mark. That's where these little beauties come in. It's always handy to have a few feminine and masculine versions on hand for such an occassion.
I made two cards with slight variations. Hope you like!

Here's some close ups of the cards

For the music one I made a matching envelope.

You can find a tutorial for the Starburst technique under my tutorial tab if you are intersted in learning how to make one.

Have a fabulous week and a wonderful day! Now...make sure to make something beautiful today!
