TTT- Military Salute

Hello and welcome to this fortnights Tip Top Tuesday Challenge. For this challenge we are challenged to use a number on our project and although July 4th is a little bit away I thought this fabulous digi called Army Bear by Meljens fit the bill.  I used a box card tutorial. You can find the tutorial here and many more tutorials tutorial tab here. You can also find the demensional banner tutorial here and many more tutorials under my tutorial tab here.

We have a fabulous tutorial over at Tip Top Tuesday Challenge Blog on the latest craze in card making.  The box card. Go on over and check it out.

Here's my take on the box card using that great digital image! I would love to send this to Operation Write Home as a donated card. Wouldn't it be so COOL to have a little boy or girl get this from his daddy! Not so sure OWH could use this with the weird dimensions but I'll have to shoot Sandy an email and find out! If you want to learn more about OWH click the badge on the right.

Here's an angled view that gives you a better look at the side and how I popped up the sentiment banner.

This card won:
5/2/2014   5/2/2014

Top view to see the embellishments placed at the back
The best part of this project is my recycled item! I used pieces cut from a 12 x 12 plastic paper storage envelope. After a while they crack and become messy so I cut up what's left of some solid pieces and use them to prop up elements in the card. You can see one of the strips attached to the eagle.

I had lots of fun making this card. There is so much to look at and it is so darn cute!

Products:
Bazzell cardstock
Hero Arts sentiment
SVG files from Uncle Sam's Extravaganza Collection Part 1 & 2 from SVGCuts.com

I hope you are inspired by my box card and try out the tutorial yourself. It's really not that difficult.
I look forward to seeing your projects using numbers so don't forget to go back to Tip Top Tuesday blog and link them up.

Now it's your turn....go make something beautiful!

A sincere thank you to all my followers and if you are a visitor then be sure to follow all things beautiful and I'll send you a shout out on next weeks Feature Friday post and link your blog so others can visit you too. Oh and how could I forget--you'll be entered in my 175 followers BLOG CANDY drawing. Check out the blog candy tab to see whats up for grabs.

Using My Tools Thursday # 33-Thinking of Goin' Fishin'

Welcome followers and guests to my Thursday post of Using My Tools. Every Thursday I try to pull something out of my stash that at one time I thought I just "HAD" to have and finally use it.

This time it's embellishments and a cut file. I grabbed the little chipboard ribbon from a card making kit I received over a year and  layered up the fishing pole cut file.

Here's a detail close up

Products:
MME- Fine & Dandy Boy DP 6x6 pad
Bazzill Card Stock
Brass brads by Recollections
Embellishment from a card making kit I got last summer.

Tinsel Tuesday-James Bear

Welcomes to my first Tinsel Tuesday post. This is my attempt at starting my Christmas cards early. So, every other Tuesday I'll be posting a Christmas card in hopes by December 1st I'll have a nice selection ready to be stuffed in envelopes and put in the mailbox.

Here's my first card...
I'm attempting to use my Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps. So ver the next several months I'm going to be making cards using my collections

This card won:
 &

Here's a close up of the embellishments. The pointsettias were cut from a SVG file from SVGcuts.com. The centers are from my cake supply stash. They are Wilton Stamens. I used Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge for the little red embellishment behind the lace.
I added some glitter glue to the hat and the snow at the bottom of the image.
These  are the copics I used to color the image.

I hope you enjoyed my first Christmas card of 2014! See you back in a couple of weeks!
Now go make something beautiful!

Card Making Monday # 36 - Suit & Tie

Welcome to another Card Making Monday! Today's card was inspired by Lisa a fellow Design Team member at Top Tip Tuesday. A recent Tutorial posted by Top Tip Tuesday demonstrated how to make this awesome bow! You can find the Tutorial on my Tutorial Tab. Ok I simply had to CASE Lisa's card.
I just loved this idea so much so I made 4 cards of my own. I didn't put on a sentiment yet because I'm waiting for the right occassion. This could be a great masculine birthday card, an anniversary card, a formal fathers day card.

I like that the list of supplies for this card is so short

Products:
Crimper by Fiskers
Black & White Cardstock
pearl stickers
(You could probably use Viva Decor pearl pen but I had these already so I used them.)

So I hope you go to my tutorial page and click on the tutorial link for this card. It was so much fun and so fast to make.
