UMT-White on White Anniversary

Hello and welcome to my last Using My Tools post of 2014.
UMT posts are where I grab a tool that has never been used or hasn't been used in a long time and finally use it to craft with.

This weeks tool is a Cricut cartridge, Elegant Edges.
I had an anniversary party to go to and they theme the couple chose was white and black so i wanted to make an elegant card using that theme.

I embossed the background paper, popped up the cut pieces, added some pearls, ribbon and the banner sentiment also on pop dots. This card was hand delivered so the thickness of dimension was ok to add.

Now it's your turn to  make something beautiful!

If your visiting please consider following me. When you become a follower I'll send you a shout out on my next Feature Friday post and link your blog so others can visit you too. You'll then be entered in my BLOG CANDY drawing. Check it out here!
( Unfortunately, there are some who have not posted in the comments or sent me the link to their blog in an email. I will not be hunting for your blog so if you don't post your blog address in a comment or email it to me I won't be able to link it up)

TT- Peace, Love & Joy Christmas

Hello and welcome to my Tinsel Tuesday post.
You can find the descriptions of all my posts at the "My Posts" tab at the top.

For this card I was experimenting with my Cricut and some acetate. Acetate is fairly new in my card making.
So for this card I stretched myself and cut out shapes in which I had to play a bit with the setting son the Cricut and went through a few sheets of acetate but in the end I'm happy with the results.

I stamped the snowflakes using Staz-on and than added some gems to the centers.

Scrapbook Saturday # 47 - Strings

Hi There! Welcome visitors for another Scrapbook Saturday post.
Today's page showcases one of my daughter's recitals at the
Silver City Galleria Mall in Taunton, MA.

I added some notes around the page that have the V cutout for the first letter of her name. I thought that would make a cute touch. I placed the journaling close to her in the photo so it leads your eye to her and her friend within.

Hope you enjoyed this layout and let me know if you've ever visited the Galleria in Taunton.

Spiced Pumpkin

It's Monday and that means I get to share with you my latest Card Making Monday creation!
For this Monday I'm showing you another Thanksgiving card.
After all the Thanksgiving holiday is fast approaching.

Boy did I struggle with this card. I made the center stamped cards first but didn't have any idea how to mount them.
I tried so many samples. Each one ended in the trash bin. I embossed solid cardstock, versamarked-watermarked background paper, heat embossed a swirl background, perfect pearled a swirl background. Uggh!
Each one just took away from the beautiful stamping. Si finally, I decided to just run the edges in my Versamark and heat emboss a gold edge. I thought it came out so elegant. What do yo think?

Sequin Christmas

It's Tinsel Tuesday and even though I'm behind on my posts I've finished my Christmas cards.
I went to a four day crop and my mission was to finish my Thanksgiving and Christmas card making. So over the next two months you'll see my completed work.
For today I made a card from vellum and sequen. I mentioned yesterday I've purchased some on-line card classes and this technique was one of them. I love how coloring the vellum with my Copic markers came out so pretty.

Although it doesn't show it very well in the picture I cut the "Merry" from glitter cardstock to match the gold sequins.

I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday and are looking forward to the upcoming holidays.
Take care and go make something beautiful!

I've recently purchased some On-line Card Classes. More specifically, the His and Hers class in which they teach you to use the similar elements to make a feminine and masculine card. For this card I just used the technique; border masking.

CMM #48 - Mason Jar Just for You

Good Morning All! Welcome to my Card Making Monday post.
Today's card is a shaker card. If you haven't made a shaker card yet and would like to you can find the tutorial I used here. You can also find many more tutorials on my tutorial tab here.
For my card I wanted to make a shaker out of a stamp I have. I had to stamp the mason stamp onto the acetate and carefully fussy cut a border outside the line of the stamp and then do the same with the foam.

I've only made a few shaker cards and I really need to remember to be patient for the glue to dry onthe foam before I fill my shaker with little baubles. Both times I made one, this one included,  I was so excited to finish I didn't wait until the glue dried and the little bits and sequiens stuck to the sides of hte foam and in the middle once they got osme glue on them. Bummer! So learn from my mistake. Be patient and wait!

I hope you enjoyed viewing today's card Making Monday.

I used my Cricut and "Joys of the Season" Cricut Cartridge for the snowflakes along with a cut file from SVGCuts.com for the card shape. The snpowflake stampes are from inkadinkadoo "I think?"

I hope you've enjoyed my latest Christmas card and see you back in a couple of weeks!

CMM # 47 - Paint Chip Sympathy

It's Card Making Monday! Welcome and thank you for visiting! The background for this card is a paint chip grabbed from my local hardware store. You can find the tutorial on my tutorial tab.
I used a dollar stamp to emboss the palm leaves.
The sentiment is a hero arts sentiment and I cut the brances from       Cricut Cartridge. I added some twine to the brances and inked them up.

I love this card because the finished glossy texture looks so elegant and all the guess work of color coordination is done for you.

Scrapbook Saturday # 42 - Whoo Hoo!

Hi There! Welcome friends for this week's Scrapbook Saturday post. Today's Scrapbook page is
a double page layout. we went Zip lining on last years vacation. Yep, I'm still working on vacation photos from 2013. Uggh! But I'm catching up and I had a crop weekend at my house in July so I can say I've cropped all the photographs from 2013 and will be showing you them over the next several months.

I just chose neutral colors for this layout because the photos were a little dark and the images in the photos were distant. I added some embellishments that complemented the nature in the photos. Added some faux stitching and Viola!
