Tinsel Tuesday #3 -Glitter Swirl Tree

Welcome to my Tinsel Tuesday post. This is my attempt at making my Christmas cards early. So, every other Tuesday I'll be posting a Christmas card in hopes by December 1st I'll have a nice selection ready to be stuffed in envelopes and put in the mailbox.

Here's my card...
I added some glitter to the Cricut cut out which I found on the Christmas cartridge and the tag is cut from Gypsy Wanderings cartridge. The patterned paper and the twine is from my stash.
I added some pearl pen to the holly berrys which give off some nice shimmer in real life.

I hope you've enjoyed my latest Christmas card and see you back in a couple of weeks!
Now go make something beautiful!

Open Minded-Farmer Stork

Welcome back for another Design Team creation for the Open Minded Crafing Fun Challenge Blog. This week our challenge is use something with wings. For my project I used a fun image from QKR called Break Time.  I also used a 3D piecing tutorial which you can find the tutorial here and many more tutorials tutorial tab here.

Here's my CAS card:

I pieced the image and popped up just the farmer for some demension. I alsi incorporated some raffia on the side to give it that organic feel.

Here is the Copic markers I used.

Card Making Monday # 39 -Card Sets

Hello to a brand new Monday! Todays post will showcase my first completed card set. Over the last few weeks I've shared with you a new stamp set I receieved from Gina K Designs. In this post I've put those cards together in a set. I've already sent this set off to my sister who lives in NH and loves the outdoors. She often speaks of seeing deer out her kitchen window so when I saw this stamp set I just knew I had to make her a card set.

The easel card on the left was just  letting her know I was thinking of her. I made several notecards like the one in the middle and on the right to give to her in the set.

As I was making the larger note cards I messed up the embossing on my scoreboard and I definately wasn't going to throw all of those stamped images out so three of them became tiny note cards with custom envelopes. There they are below.

So what do you think of my first card set? I hope you like it and give it a try yourself.

Now it's your turn to go make somethng beautiful....

Thank you to my followers for always checking out my latest creation and Thank you if your visiting. Please consider following me. My First Creative Encouragement

 Hello and Happy Sunday!
We all have heard about doing an act of kindness for someone else just to brighten our world and even our own day! I happen to stumble across Art Abandonment and thought what a great idea but I don't make works of art although, you could consider my cards small works of art.

So...I jumped right in and put together my first act of  what I call Creative Encouragement. It's my endeavor to leave some cheer for someone to find with an encouraging message written inside one of my handmade cards.

If your a card maker, I hope you join me with leaving a little Creative Encouragement and send me an email with a picture of where you left your card and I'll post your picture to my blog.
I bagged the card in a small ziplock so it would be protected from any weather if I decided to leave it outside. I punch a hole in the top about the ziplock and attached my tags. The tag behind the brown one just  says this is a gift for you, a little blurb and my blog address so they can come back and tell me where they found this card. I also stamped "handmade card"  on the back.

I'm don't typically take photos with my phone so that's why the photo is so blurry. I'm a Cannon Tsi girl and I was trying to leave it quickly. My first Creative Encouragement. Yeah!!!

If your a card maker, I hope you join me with leaving a little Creative Encouragement for others and send me an email with a picture of where you left it and I'll post your picture to my blog.

Have a fabulous Sunday and go make something beautiful!

Scrapbook Saturday # 34 - Live Free or Die

Hi There! Welcome friends to this weeks Scrapbook Saturday post. Oh my, this layout is bittersweet. Ok, for me brings back nightmares. I only had 2 photos of this portion of last years vaction and that's ok because the focus is on the journaling. I added close up of the journalling blocks so you can see what I'm talking about. I won't drone on here but it was a sigh of relief to get OUT of those kayaks!

As for the scrapbook page, I chose to make it very simple. My friend had a nice tree stamp made by Stampin' Up that she so kindly let me use for this layout. I then added the embellishements and viola! It's done!

Products:
Bazzill Cardstock
Font using SCAL
Stampin' Up tree stamp
Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge

So here's the story!
