OWH MWT-Green and Yellow
This weeks challenge for Operation Write Home is to use the colors green and yellow. This is my card.
I also made this card just for fun and as a thank you for my brother in law who sent me a 40th birthday card. (My 40th birthday is tomorrow!) Thanks Bro!
Quilted Card
So, I'm back. Sorry for the disappearing act. Life got really busy!
This is my first attempt at sewing on a card. You can find tips and strategies on how to add stitching to
your cards here. You can also find more tutorials on my tutorial tab here .I saw a sample card of this technique in my Scrapbook etc. magazine and new it would be perfect for my sister Jeanne who LOVES to quiklt. So I whipped up a "just because" card just for her.

Valentine's Day cards-patterned pieced
So, I promised you Valentine's Day cards for today, these are a few I've been working on.
I used a digi image and colored it in with Copic markers. The "love U" stamp is from Recollections
and then I matted small pieces of patterned paper and added the ribbon for interest. I think he's so cute!
With this card, I matted pattered pieces of paper but added a pre-bought metal sentiment sticker, added garnet brads, heart ribbon and a mulberry colored paper flower by Got Flowers?
Thank you for stopping by my blog ...more Valentine's Day cards tomorrow. Have a beautiful day!

Two Scrapbooking layouts-the old and the new
In my ever current attempts to catch up on old photos of my children who are nearly grown while not letting myself get behind on pages of current photos and recent events I created these two scrapbooking layouts this weekend.
With the first layout I wanted to keep it very simple and let the photos do the talking with the help of the printed journaling using word and a text box.
With the second layout and photo I wanted to have fun with embelishments while keeping the colors primary and complimentary to the colors in the bicycle which are red, yellow and blue.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy! I've been working on some Valentine's cards. Will be posting them very soon! Have a beautiful day!

OWH-MWT- punches and Die Cuts
So this week the card challenge was to use your punches and/or die cuts to create a card. There are so many options I think the hardest part of this card was in which direction I wanted to go with which die cuts?
So for this card I used the butterfly cut from "Graphically Speaking", a stamped sentiment on a die cut tag, my corner chomper, and finallyI borrowed my daughters butterfly punch from the American Girl Doll series.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and Have a Great Day!
Some Recent Projects
These are some cards I made while watching a football game. I matted some small 2.5 x 2.5 squares of purple paper. The patterned strips are about 1.5 x 3.5, Stamped the "hello" image and colored with Copics and use hemp twine on the side.
I'm still catching up on layouts of some older photos of my kids. This was a performance at school. This is 1 page of what will be a 2 page layout.
