Using Embossing folders and Layers - Hello

Good Morning! Happy Friday!

I hope your week went well and your looking forward to a weekend of crafting time

I decided to make a card today using my 2025 goal of busting through my paper kits. This paper is from from an Echo Park kit and I used one of the embellishment cards as the focal point.

I decided to add some texture and interest by using an embossing folder on the plain white cardstock and then layering the variety of patterned papers.

I had a few flowers left over from other projects and added them as embellishments to provide some balance..

I hope you an inspired to go through your paper kits and use this laying technique to create a card of your own.

Happy crafting!

Keeping it Simple - Bird house

Hey there friends! Welcome to All Things Beautiful!

I hope your day is going well and you are finding some time to be creative.

I am revisiting my Keeping it Simple layout with choosing a patterned paper for the background, some sort of large embellishment for the focal point and adding a sentiment to a corner.

Although my embellishments aren't simple; the design is. I just love these birdhouse dies from Spellbinders. There are 4 styles. I added extra dimension by surrounding the bird and birdhouse with various floral die cuts from my stash.

Fun Flip card - Celebrate

Good Morning! I hope your week is going well.

Thank you for visiting.

Today I made a Fun Flip card. If you'd like to see a  tutorial on the technique you can find one under my tutorial page.

For this card I used some charm dies by Karen Burniston for the wine and wine glass and the floral arrangement was made from small flower dies from Spellbinders.

I hope you try this fun flip style card and share it with me in the comments!

Keeping it Simple - Encouragement Card

Hello there friends!

Welcome to All Things Beautiful!

I hope your week has gone well and you are finding some time to be creative today.

Thank you for stopping by to see my latest card post.

I am using my keeping it simple formula again. Background paper, large embellishment in the center and a simple sentiment.

I had this big balloon die I wanted to use and when I saw this hang in there sentiment from another stamp set I just had to pair them for a quick encouragement card.

I am really trying to think outside the box this year when it comes to mixing and matching my papers, sentiments and dies. Tell me what you think of this combo.

Happy Crafting!

Keeping it Simple - Get Well

Hello Crafty friends!
Thank you for stopping by to see my latest card post.
Today 's card focuses on the stamped image.

I wanted this card to have a classic design so I left the image black and white. Also, the recipient could always color it if they wanted to.

The only pop of color is from the butterfly embellishment. The background cardstock is dry embossed and the sentiment panel is layered with black cardstock.

This card may be simple but it will be a nice
reminder to the recipient that they are thought of and loved.

Happy crafting!

This is a nice little display card I would include a little post-it nte to the recipient letting them know how to open/display it though since this is a card with an unusual fold.

I hope you give this fun fold a try and happy crafting!

Shaped Card - Coffee Cup

Hey There! Welcome to All Things Beautiful!

I hope your day is going well and you are finding some time to be creative.

Thank you for stopping by to see my latest card post.

I used a shape card die from Honey Bee stamps. It comes with the center embellishment wrap. I added the sentiment panel from a die shape I have in my stash.

This would be a great card just to let a friend know you are thinking of them.

Maybe even throw in a gift card for a cup of coffee or special treat.

I hope you enjoyed my card post and happy crafting!

Keeping it simple - kite card

Hello friends! Thank you for stopping by to see my latest card post.

Sometimes I just need a card quick or I don't have much mojo for making a card with many moving parts. Today was one of those days.

I kept it simple with today's card by using a die cut as the focal point. This card design could be repeated over and over using the same formula of a embossed paper background either patterned paper or plain cardstock, a die cut as the focal point and a sentiment to the right or left side.

For today's card I used varying sizes of die cut clouds and layered them; adding the inspire sentiment to coordinate with the embossed clouds.

I hope you are inspired to try a card using an embossed background, an embellishment or die cut for the focal point and a small sentiment.

Have a great weekend!
Happy crafting!

Clip Board Card -Follow Your Dreams

Hey there friends and Happy Friday ! Welcome to All Things Beautiful!

I hope your day is going well and you are finding some time to be creative.

Today's card is a Clip Board card.  It's a nice way of making a sentiment be front and center.

If your interested in trying this style of card, you can find a tutorial for making this style card under my tutorial tab.

Use some fun patterned paper for the background or stamp your own pattern and then add this clipboard using what ever color cardstock you want. There are so many beautiful metal papers out there you could really mix things up using a variety of metallics.

I hope you give it a try!

Embossing - Butterfly Thanks

Good Morning! Happy Friday! I hope your week has been well.

I thought I would pull out an embossing folder today and use an embellishment from an old project.

This butterfly was made using a Tim Holtz stamp set and a few different inks from Gina K Designs and some blending brushes to help the colors transition from one to the other.

I then cut out a few white panels and glued them together to give them dimension and a nice black simple thanks sentiment. I wanted the butterfly to really pop and I thought using a black sentiment on a white background would help it to stand out.

I just love all the texture of this card. What do you think?

Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!

Bay Window Card - Birthday Greetings

Happy Saturday friends! I hope your week is going well.

Thank you for visiting.

Today's card is a Bay Window fold card; you can find a tutorial for making this style of card under my tutorial tab.

This is my first attempt at this style of fun fold. I think it's cute when it is assembled and stand up.

Here it is laying flat. I would suggest sending some instructions with the card so the recipient knows how it works.

Happy crafting today!

Using your scraps - rays of sunshine congrats

Good Morning! I hope your week is going well.

Thank you for visiting!

Today's card was made by is pursuing my 2025 goal of using up some 6 x 6 paper pads and scraps from my stash

For these scraps I set the strips on an angle to give it a sunshine ray look.
Then grabbed this pretty scalloped edged die and cut out the panel.

Each panel cut slightly different making each card unique. I then grabbed this filly flower die from Stampin Up. An oldy but a goody and placed a stamped sentiment banner on top to anchor the embellishment.

Thank you for visiting and Happy Crafting!

Slider Card - Bookmark Style

Hello friends! Thank you for stopping by to see my latest card post.

The card I made today is called a variation of a slider card. I used the Art impression die which I have had in my stash for a very long time.

If your interested in making this style of card you can find a tutorial for making this style card under my tutorial tab.

I enjoy gifting interactive cards to others. It is so mice to receive snail mail these days but to make it an interactive or fun fold style card I think makes it even more special.

The pull tab can even be used for a book mark by the recipient.

Here are a few other variations I made using different papers.

Using Paper Strips - Happy Anniversary

Hello and welcome to All Things Beautiful!

Quick and easy card for you today. I am determined to use up my stash of scraps in 2025.

For this card, I added some scraps to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock in a diagonal fashion and then die cut the panel out of a fancy panel die. All that was left was to pick the embellishments I wanted on the front.
These flowers come from a Spellbinders die set from the Sealed collection.
Add a sentiment banner and I was done. I created about 5 of these.

I should have enough anniversary cards for the year. ;-)

Happy a great day and happy crafting!

Slimline Card - Birthday Bench

Hey there friends! Welcome to All Things Beautiful!

I hope your day is going well and you are finding some time to be creative. I think for 2025 I will try to make more cards that fit business sized envelopes.

Today's card is a Slimline card with a twist and will fit in a regular business sized envelope.

I took a class from Karen Burniston using her bench pop up die and in that class she cut out the little notch in the card base for the sentiment to take front and center

I just thought these papers were so pretty to make a sophisticated birthday card.

These papers were just left over in my stash.

I hope you enjoy and try making this little twist on a typical slimline card.

Happy Crafting!

Twist Pop - Up card - Congrats

Hello friends and welcome to All Things Beautiful!

Today 's card showcases a fun technique.
This card is a Twist Pop - Up card.
This card is pretty simple to make by hand although,  there are companies out there online who sell a variety of dies that make this interactive card.

If you want to try making this style of card by hand, you can find a tutorial under my tutorial tab.

I used a die set from Karen Burniston to make the process simple. I have made several twist pop up cards by hand. You find find several samples under my tutorial tab.

I also used Karen Burniston wine charms to decorate this card. Aren't they cute?!
Here is another variation using another color cardstock and patterned papers.

This card is made to fit an business size envelope. It is a slimline card but presented horizontally just to do something different..

I hope you give this card a try!
Happy crafting!

St. Patrick's Day - Gold

Happy St. Patrick's Day and welcome to All Things Beautiful!

Sometimes I think I have to make a card that has a lot of detail or moving parts to make it striking.

This card proves me wrong!  I have been trying to use up my stash of left over papers in 2025.

I also tend to make multiples of cards especially for the holidays and this year I wanted to make about 30 St. Patrick's Day cards. With the quantity in mind I thought I needed to find a way to make a nice looking card that I could assemble easily

Once I got down to some smaller scraps I tried to coordinate them like I did on the card above.
Instead of going with a green shamrock I thought using gold metallic paper would be a fun twist on the theme. What do you think?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Crafty Goal 2025 - Using my die sets

Hello and welcome to All Things Beautiful!

Unfortunately, in life we all need a card that comforts others in time of need at one point or another. I needed a few of these this week and I thought this Spellbinders die set with the large ampersand would really work nicely to make a simple, understated, classic card.

For the embellishments in the center of the card I looked through my cardstock scraps to find some coordinating colors.

I was able to make a few of these and put them into my stash for when they are needed.

By using several different background papers I created cards that were slightly different using the same embellishments

I hope you have a nice weekend! Happy crafting!

Shaped Card - Coffee Cup

Hello! I hope your week is going well and thank you for visiting.

Last week I shared with you a coffee gift card. I thought I would continue that theme but take it up a notch.

Today I have a shaker card for you. This one uses a shaped card die but you can make any shaker card using just a piece of plastic packaging and any shaped die you have.

If you'd like to see a video tutorial on this technique you can find one under my tutorial tab.
I believe this is a Honey Bee die set. I coordinated the color of the confetti with the patterned paper I used and added the sentiment on the front of the acetate window

This card took some time but I think it will be well worth the effort for a true coffee lover.

Happy Crafting!
