Back for another day of partying! I'm off and running to complete todays challenges for the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party...
Chanlenge Sketch #188
For this card I used the MME- Moments patterned paper, Best Wishes sentiment by Hero Arts (I just LOVE their senimtent stamps!), and embellishements from my stash.
Challenge #6 - Kids Tic Tac Toe
This is my card. See the Tic Tac Toe card below....
I used the top row across. Things with wings is the fairy image (from Lili of the Valley) and the butterflies, I stamped the image and colored it (with Copics) and then used a EK punch to embellish.
Challenge #7 -Fall Theme
Ok so I misunderstood the oringal posting of this on the OWH website and made a card with full themed - flowers. lol I'll repost that card later on in another post...hmmm. I guess I'll double dip from a post yesterday; a leaf card I made. Here it is....
Challenge #8 - Use Bees
Well, this challenge calls for a bee stamp. I don't own any bee stamps but i did have some bee stickers to use. This is what I came up with. I guess today I was in the mood to use circles. lol The center circle was embossed with a flower pattern. unfortunately the pattern doesn't show up very well on the camera. I also inked the edges with black ink just to tie in the yellow and black
I just love these little bees I bought from ACMoore.
Onto Challenge #9- Reverse die cut.
To be honest I had always wanted to try this technique but never buckled down to do it. I was so glad to be challenged to do so and I really like how it came out. It took quite a bit more time than typical cards but in the end I love the result!
I hope you enjoyed my Sunbday challenge cards for the VCMP at OWH! Please come back and join me for my Card MAking Ondays, my Using My Tools Thursdays and Scrapbook Page Saturday and check out what I've been crafting. Take care and enjoy your holiday! Now it's your turn, go make something beautiful!
Great card! I love the sentiment too. I don't get to see too much color since I live in Texas now. Thanks for participating this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! The leaves should be turning soon here. I just love New England in the fall.
DeleteThese are three great cards. I ADORE this little fairy... and you did a fabulous job coloring her. Thanks so much for playing along with the challenge.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sybrina! I didn't like the fairy card at first but the more I played with it, the more I liked it. I think the meetal butterflies are what pulled it all together.
DeleteAll three of these are lovely! I just love the papers and color scheme for your sketch card! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch Julie! I love the papers from the sketch card too! It's a 6x6 pad by MME, Moments. I stumbled upon it on clearence at Michaels and bought the last 2 pads! Thanks for your compliments and taking the time to post.
DeleteThe cards are all gorgeous! I love fall and both your fall cards put me in the mood for fall to get here! We have very little fall here in ND, it goes from warm to cold literally overnight! - I enjoyed looking! ~Lo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking the time to comment Lorri and for your kind comments. Yes, the weather here is so unpredictible. We had a very wet and warm spring, a weird summer that couldn't make up its mind and then a very rainy back to school. That's New England!
DeleteLorri, I just love your card #1 for the VCMP. I love the rustic feel with the faux stitching! I just love the OWH challenges and blog hops/skips etc. they, make card making so much fun! Thanks for sharing!
DeleteA great collection of beautiful cards here! The bee card is precios but my favorite is your last card. Nice use of the die cut. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThank you much Donna! I just love your Lili of the Valley china girl card "Live laugh Love". I just love theri stamps. I made a few cards using that stamp too. Thanks for checking out my cards.
